As a leading Institution committed to developing talent for staff we will be launching the 7th cohort of the 4 year  Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) programme   We first launched the programme in April 2017 with the first 3 cohorts having successfully completed their Apprenticeship in 2021.

The Apprenticeship allows staff to develop a variety of skills through on and off the job learning.  The programme at Coventry University is offered to existing staff and is also available to new staff recruited into Degree apprentice roles.

The Apprenticeship through assessment of knowledge, skills and behaviours allows staff to gain an academic qualification.  Candidates will achieve BA Honours in Business Management and Leadership and professional recognition through the (CMI) Chartered Management Institution.

This programme is specifically designed to develop the leadership abilities for those who take responsibility for people, projects and/ or services to deliver long term organisational success.  With the expectation they will deliver impact and demonstrate their commitment to continual learning and development.

Who is it for?

The programme is aimed at staff in managerial positions from across the Coventry University Group who are in a leadership role or those that aspire to be in a leadership role within the organisation. Participants will be expected to commit to a 4 year programme of study with a minimum of 20% off-the-job training.  Programme delivery will be a day release delivery model for 12 modules in total.  Delivery will be based on the occupational standard for the Chartered Manager Degree.  Participants will be expected to manage their workload effectively whilst taking part in a demanding programme of study.
